The Internet of Things goes offshore: Wireless connectivity and IoT for the Oil & Gas Sector
H1, Hill of Rubislaw, Aberdeen AB15 6XL
4 October 2017, 07:30-13:00

In partnership with our sister Innovation Centre, CENSIS (Innovation Centre for Sensor and Imaging Systems), we have created an event for oil and gas and offshore sector companies based in and around Aberdeen to introduce new and emerging sensor and imaging systems technologies that might benefit their businesses.

A specific area of focus will be ‘no sensor, no data’ and the enablement of the Industrial Internet of Things.

Companies attending are interested in hearing about technology offerings in:

  • Non-intrusive sensing, e.g., retrofit/clamp on sensors that measure physical or chemical parameters from the infrastructure or equipment part
  • Intrusive devices for condition monitoring of systems
  • Portable/ autonomous devices including image acquisition and analysis and NDT instrumentation
  • Other IoT related technologies applicable to offshore environments
