The following organisations are aligned to the common goal of supporting the oil and gas industry to develop and deploy technology.
The Oil & Gas Technology Centre leads the other three organisations in coordinating activities to support the Maximising Economic Recovery UK Strategy and the group meet regularly to maintain alignment and focus.
The Oil & Gas Technology Centre is the technology execution organisation for the oil and gas industry, leveraging public funding, with industry and academia commitment, to adapt, develop and deploy technology that helps unlock the potential of the North Sea, further enhances the capability and services of the supply chain and creates a culture of innovation in North East Scotland.
Industry Technology Facilitator is a member owned and driven organisation which initiates collaborative research and technology development projects locally and internationally to meet ongoing and global technology challenges.
Funded by the Scottish Government, the Oil & Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC) connects technology developers with Scottish Universities, enables and co-funds technology development projects that capture the advanced knowledge and innovation from within these universities for application to industry.
The National Subsea Research Initiative (NSRI) technology-focused arm of Subsea UK, it focuses on understanding the current and future subsea sector requirements and bringing academia and industry together to collaborate on research and development activities for the UK’s subsea sector.
