The Oil & Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC) has signed its 75th project, taking its total investment into innovative technology over the last four years to £3.8million. The latest project comes as OGIC finalises agreements on five new technologies, all of which have the potential to cut operational costs and improve efficiency in the oil and gas industry.

On 31st May 2018, OGIC hosted an event to discuss methods of getting innovations to market in the oil and gas industry. Covering innovation funding options, discussing IP protection and finding new markets for innovations, attendees heard from a host of speakers with experiences working through from concept to commercialisation.

The Oil & Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC) has today (Monday 14th May) reported that more than 500 jobs will be sustained or created in Scotland over the next six years as a direct result of its support for research and development.

Scotland’s top oil and gas research and development organisations (the Royal Society of Edinburgh, OGIC and The Data Lab – Innovation Centre) are to travel to China this month as part of a knowledge share designed to fortify ties and increase business.
