ETP Energy Innovation Emporium 2018

On the 23rd April ETP will host the 2nd Energy Innovation Emporium, to convene the energy community to inform Scotland’s energy future. Participants come from academia, industry and public bodies. By debating energy policy, we will identify avenues of cooperation, and define research & investment needs.

The recent publication by the Scottish Government of the Energy Strategy sets a vision for the future of Scotland’s energy sector to supply secure, reliable and affordable energy. With this vision comes a set of challenges and opportunities for industry, the public sector, and academia to work together in developing the innovation required to meet the challenging climate change ambitions. There are questions around the decarbonisation of heat, the integration of EVs into the grid, the reality of Hydrogen as an energy vector, and implications of setting energy productivity as a target.

This conference brings together industry, the public sector and academia to discuss innovation for the Energy Strategy. Key academics and businesses will present their research expertise & needs, from which the conference will identify avenues of cooperation that will support the Energy Strategy.

Confirmed Speakers:

    • Philip New, CEO of the Energy Systems Catapult;
    • Sonja Chirico Indrebø, VP Strategy & Innovation at Statoil
    • Kersti Berge, Head of Scotland, OFGEM

By attending this event you will also participate in Theme Sessions designed to help you identify opportunities for innovation. There will be the chance to take part in 1-2-1s for networking and knowledge exchange, hear from academics across Scotland about their research, learn about funding mechanisms that support innovation.
