The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) & training course on Residual Stresses in Thermal Spray Coatings (RSTSC) will be held at Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen, United Kingdom) during 3-4 September 2018.
The course will be organised and delivered by Robert Gordon University in partnership with Heriot-Watt University. This event has been approved for Professional Development by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), and a Certificate of Approval for Professional Development will be available upon completion of this course by the IOM3.
This 2-day course (total 9 modules) is aimed at those who have knowledge of thermal spray coatings and want to learn how to ‘measure’ residual stresses using various methods (analytical, experimental, computational), and evaluate tribomechanical coatings quality. The course will be delivered through focused lecture, demonstration and hands-on classroom practice.
The course is designed for academics, early career researchers, graduate students, postdoctoral research fellows, thermal spray technicians, thermal spray coated component test personnel, or anyone who needs knowledge of residual stress tests. And, for thermal spray coating manufacturing professionals from industry sectors such as aerospace, automobile, biomedical, chemical and processing, construction, energy, marine, nuclear, oil & gas, power, transportation, etc.
The number of attendees is limited to 25.
